Greetings. I was able to get some crafty time in yesterday! Yay!!! It's a good thing too because, Cathy has an awesome challenge for us today over on Splitcoast. This weeks Ways to Use It challenge is to USE Border punches and dies. If you don't have any then you can use deco scissors too.

As I was flipping through my stamp basket I stumbled upon this Gorjuss girl. I could not believe that I have had her for months and still not inked her up. She was an easy choice for sure. She is just so darned cute!!! The pattern paper is Authentique Splendid. I love my dies!!! It was so hard for me to choose. I settled on MFT Open Scallop Border die-namic and Open Scallop Doily Duo Die-namic layered. I think they frame our Gorjuss girl perfectly!!! I added a little stitching with my Brother sewing machine for texture and because lets face it, I am addicted to my sewing machine. I had so much fun making this card. It's been awhile since I have had a chance to use my Copics. I guess that is the one drawback of having so many darned crafty projects on the proverbial table. :) Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy Friday to you! I have some exciting stamping news to share and a jazzy card too. I have joined the Ways to Use It challenge team over on Splitcoaststampers!!! I am so excited to be joining these super talented girls. The challenge that was posted yesterday is courtesy of Hannah. She challenged us to create a Valentine that doesn't use any PINK or RED... Quite the challenge I will admit. This is what I came up with.

Layers of Grey, White, and Black cardstock are accompanied by Hearts (SU! Punch) from the Basic Grey Ambrosia line (Cream, Orange, Yellow). A simple sentiment (Verve) is stamped in Versamark and embossed with White embossing powder. That part got a little wonky but, I didn't have time to go back a redo it. Easy peasy. I have been such a bad blogger lately. It's due to a few reasons really. Mostly, because all of my "free" time has been spent completely immersed in my newest passion. Quilting... It all started with this sewing machine that I got for Christmas from my sweet husband.

It's the Brother XL2600i. I love it to pieces! I have been buying fabric and sewing up a storm! I have also been soaking up multiple blogs and books.

I'm back with another Hambo card....

I made this card last week for a Splitcoaststampers challenge. It's super quick and easy, which I love! The stamp is Hambo Tea Cup paired with the My Cup of tea sentiment. Both stamps are from the Winter/Spring release! I am such a hug HOT beverage lover! I knew this stamp combo was for me! I colored the Tea Cup in with Copic Markers and added a bit of Bo Bunny Et Cetera pattern paper. I think that the lace and buttons really complete the vintage feel of the card. CASE a Hambo~

Happy Wednesday stampers. Welcome to my last Hambo Hoedown post as a member of the DT. The challenge this week is to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) a card from the Hambo gallery.

I cased this super cute card from Eggette on Splitcoaststampers. For my card I stamped Duck Umbrella on Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored her in with Copic Markers. The rest of the cardstock is SU! and the pattern paper is Basic Grey. I love the simplicity of this card! I ran my base white cardstock through my Big Shot on a texture plate. My time as a Hambo Bacon Bit is quickly coming to an end. I am going to miss being on this DT, it's been a fun four months. I have a few cards that I haven't had a chance to share yet.

No, it's not Christmas but, this sentiment is just to sweet not to share. I kept the design simple but, with a bit of bling. Everyone needs a bit of bling! Hey all! It's Wednesday and that means that it's Hambo Hoedown time again! There is a special challenge this week. We are having an Anything Goes challenge featuring the adorable Digi Bailey.

I know, super cute! Right??? The really special part of the challenge this week is that Hambo Stamps is sponsoring the next Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge (posting 1/21). This is my last month as a Hambo Stamps Bacon Bit. It has been so much fun getting to know the fantastic ladies and play with such amazing stamps. I am gonna miss it! I have been such a bad blogger lately. The holiday season just got in the way. I am really looking forward to things slowing down and getting back to normal. Here comes the stamping!!! It's Wednesday and that means that it's Hambo Hoedown time. This week we have a fun challenge! Use something new (within the past three months) on your project .

I used the Snowmen stamp. I think it's absolutely adorable! My new item is Authentique Wonder pattern paper. It's just so festive! I colored the stamp in with Copic Markers and matted it on Chocolate Chip paper. The die cuts are from My Favorite Things. They are so much fun. This adorable little guy is Elf and the sentiment is Get Merry. I just love this stamp! It makes me happy and it was so much fun coloring him in with Copic Markers. Hiya! It's Wednesday and that means another Hoedown challenge. Today we are staying dry, dry embossing that is...

I stamped Snowmen on Neenah Solar Crest white cardstock and colored it in with Copic Markers. I added a layer of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the snowmen to make them sparkle. I ran the light pink layer of cardstock through my Big Shot on an impression plate.

You can see the embossing here in the detail shot. The ribbon is retired Stampin' Up! and the designer paper is Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas. The sparkly silver brads are Making Memories. TCP Release Day Blog Hop~

Hello there! It's release day over at The Cat's Pajamas. I have had so much fun being a guest designer for this release!!! Alma and the DT have been super nice and so fun to work along side!

If you arrived here from the talented Carole's blog then you are in the right place. To start at the beginning of the hop head on over to the uber-crafty Julie's blog.

The blog hop has been combined with TCP Tuesday. The challenge is to create a shiny embellishment.

I kept it simple and sweet! I used the snowflakes from the amazing Snowflake Lace Paper Cut Ups die and the sentiment is from Peeking! Unfortunately, you can't tell in the photo but, the sentiment shimmers. I stamped it and then embossed it with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. I ran the white layer through my Big Shot on an impression plate. The snowflakes are covered in Dazzling Diamonds glitter and I added a silver brad. All of the layers are mounted on a Kraft cardstock 3"x6" base. Easy peasy! :)

Raising Cane~

Did I mention how much fun I have been having sharing these fabulous The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek stamps with you? I have been loving it! I have one more card to share with you. Today's set is Raising Cane!!! I just love the name! :)

This bunny is just the sweetest ever! I stamped him on Neenah Solar Crest White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I paper pierced around the edges. I used some sneaky peek goodness. See the brand spankin' new Snowflake Lace Paper Cut Ups die? I used both the positive and negative, which is what makes this Cut Ups die so brilliant! I used retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series paper. I only have a little left but, I LOVE it! There are a lot of lovely layers going on here. The sentiment is perfect for sure! I mean aren't we all just a little Naughty & Nice! Hey all! It's still sneaky peek week at The Cat's Pajamas. Today I have an absolutely adorable set to show you. Drum roll please.... I give you Peeking.

How adorable is that? I colored it in with Copics and mounted it on a Spellbinders scallop circle. As you can see I paper pierced around the circle. I paper pieced the package and added the tag and a mini brad. The uber cute designer paper I used is Jillybean Soup. I stamped the sentiment and cut it apart so that it would fit in the space. A button and Divine Twine bow finish the card. I can't wait to create some more cards and tags with this amazing set!

I just love this cute little bunny! I stamped him on Neenah Solar Crest White cardstock, and stamped him with Memento Tuxedo black ink. Then I colored him in with Copic markers. I paper pieced the snowman's scarf and frosted him with Dazzline Diamonds glitter! Two Making Memories button brads finish his ensemble! ;) I added lots of layers of the adorable Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas designer paper. A couple Cut Ups dies add a little extra something to the card, Circus Panels and Circus Border. I stamped the snowflake around my sentiment. Lastly, a touch of divine twine, a pink button and rhinestone brads seal the deal.

Hey there! It's TCP Tuesday time! This week they have an awesome photo inspiration challenge for us courtesy of Jen their Hostess with the mostess!

That is some seriously gorgeous photo inspiration if you ask me!

Yes, that is some sneaky peek goodness you spy there. The soon to be released Snowflake Lace Paper Cut Ups die. Isn't it lovely? The sentiment is from the new Snow Days stamp set. I stamped it on the Circus Border Cut Ups and nested it. After stamping the sentiment I embossed it with clear embossing powder to give it a little extra something! Gold elastic cording and rope ribbon add some texture. I double stacked my buttons. The pattern paper is My Mind's Eye. I love the Merry & Bright part!

Hey there. It's day two of The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week. Today I have a card featuring the uber-adorable set Merry Christmas Honey! I just love this set (Actually I love the whole release!)!!!

I was all about the fussy cutting with this card, and as you can see paper piecing. I used a couple of Cut Up dies from the last release (Circus Panels Cut Up & Circus Border (the negative of the die)). They are sooo cute! I just love how the Circus Panels Cut Up nests inside each other! LOVE!!! Back to my card. I colored the bear in with Copics. Our tree is cut out of Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas pattern paper and decked out with red pearls and silver elastic cord. A bit of cream lace from my local fabric store and some paper piercing finish the job! Thanks so much for stopping by. I have something so exciting to share with you today. It's day one of The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week! I have a super cute stamp set to share with you. I was so over the moon excited to be the Swanky Stamper of the Month for October, and playing with the new stamps was heavenly! First up we have Snow Day!

I stamped the adorable bunny on Neenah Solar Crest White cardstock and colored it in with Copic Markers. I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the snowballs. It makes them so shimmery! Check out the amazing snowflakes. They are from the Snowflake Lace Paper die. I love both the positive and negative of this die. The sentiment is stamped on Kraft cardstock and slightly popped up. I used the negative portion of the Apron Cut Ups border die.

Happy Wednesday to you! It's Hambo Hoedown time again! This week we have a really fun challenge. Use a Hambo image and create a project that incorporates a tag. I love tags! They are usually quick and easy to create and they add the perfect touch to a gift!

Happy Monday to you... As much as I love a long weekend with my family I am so glad that it's Monday. For me it means that the boys are back at school, Hubby is at work and if I can get the girls to take a nap then Mama gets to stamp! Yahoo! Tomorrow is the last day to enter the Tiddly Inks Design team call. I absolutely love Tiddly Inks. They are just so darned sweet! A few weeks ago I was lucky and won a $10 Gift Certificate. Those adorable new (to me) digi's have been printed and sitting in my desk drawer luring me with their siren song. "Come play with us!" they called... Today was the day! The current Tiddly Ink's challenge is Anything Goes.

I grabbed some My Minds Eye paper and got inky! This cutie patootie is Lilli Claire. I ♡ her! She is colored in with Copics and mounted on a scallop circle spellbinders. A touch of Offray ribbon and three random buttons finish the card. Easy peasy. Thanks so much for stopping by. TTFN~

Snowman Bird~

Fall/Winter weather is in full force around here. It's cold and blustery and we have all been sick for over a week. Which is why I have been absent from the old blogaroo. I have a a Hambo card to share with you this evening.

Tada.... This is Snowman Bird and it's a fantastic Hambo digi stamp. So darned adorable if you ask me! I paired it with the Piled High sentiment. This is the second card that I have used this sentiment with and I can think of so many more images that it will work with! I love when a sentiment does double or triple duty! Back to the card I colored Snowman in with Copics and covered him with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I love the frosted look! That does it for this post. I hope you are having a fantastic weekend! This is the tale of how Cat got to Tim's party!

Cat woke with delight,

at Dawn's early light

for today was a special day!

It was November 8

And she didn't want to be late.

Her friends would all be there

Now Cat had a gift,

But she needed a lift

to get to the special occasion.

She said with despair

"I'll never get there.".

I'll miss the celebration.

Then what a surprise

should appear before her eyes

out across the field?

A hot air balloon,

that was taking off soon.

She was filled with excitement and glee!

So without delay

she was on her way,

making haste across the field.

She jumped in the basket.

The rush was fantastic,

as the balloon took to the sky.

But it wasn't long

before the wind was too strong.

Pushing the balloon off course.

"I can not land

in a gale so grand!"

Said the balloon man to the feline.

Outfitted with parachute and goggle

Yes, the sight did make the mind boggle.

Who had ever seen such a getup on a cat?

She sailed from the balloon,

and not a moment too soon.

For they were nearing the haunted wood.

Cat wasn't lucky you see,

for she got stuck in a tree

right there in the dark, gloomy forest.

"What shall I do?"

She said with a mew.

Now she'd miss the party for sure!

"I'll count to three

and cut myself from this tree!"

She said to herself reluctantly.

She opened her paws,

cut the cord with her claws

and landed in a passing sidecar.

It was her friend Horace

who was racing through the forest,

to deliver the birthday cake.

What luck that they should meet,

and that he had an empty seat

in his motorcycle.

Over hills they flew

for it was a quarter to two,

the party would be starting soon.

Without a moment to spare

Horace and Cat arrived there.

To greet their friends on the farm.

They had all gathered you see,

for a delightful jubilee

to celebrate a very special friend.

With lights, music, and mountains of food.

The farm was in a very festive mood.

They would surely party down all night!

They all shouted "Surprise!"

when the guest of honor arrived,

to celebrate his special day.

Now Cat had risked life and limb

to wish Happy Birthday to her favorite friend Tim.

She wished him the very merriest of days!

And that is the crazy tale you see,

of how Cat traveled to Tim's party

and where our story does end.

Happy Monday! It's the start of a brand new week. Around here the leaves are rapidly descending to the ground in a dance of fiery orange, gold, and crimson. Fall is in full force! This time of year I like to hunker down with a hot steamy beverage and craft the night away. The other day I carved out some time to create this simple little card.

The designer paper is retired Stampin' Up! I'm trying to work through my stash! Yahoo! I used the Verve Making a Statement stamp set, as well as the Verve Cut Above Loopy Blooms die and Verve Sweet Scallop die. The design is Viva la Verve October Week 2. I just love Viva la Verve sketches!

We made it to Wednesday! I have another fun Hambo Hoedown project to share with you today! The challenge this week is to create a project with a Hambo image and a technique from Splitcoaststampers Resource page. If you have never visited SPS's resource page then you are in for a real treat! There is so much information and helpful tutorials.

I chose the Dazzling Diamond Dust technique. I wish you could see it in person, it's very sparkly!:) I chose Hambo stamps Apple Basket stamp for my image and colored it with Copic Markers. The sentiment is Blessings. The ribbon and Designer paper are both retired Stampin' Up! The layout for this card is based on Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. I flipped the sketch on its side. Clearly Acetate~

Thanks for stopping by today! I have another combo challenge card to share with you. I combined the Cat's Pajamas challenge with the Viva la Verve October Week 4. The TCP Tuesday challenge is to use acetate on your project.

It's a little hard to see here but, I cut the acetate out with the Verve Loopy Bloom Cut Above Die. I used the Loopy blooms to create a border. I really like the way it turned out, I think it's fun! I paper pieced the Bears tummy and nose. The rest of the bear is colored in with Copic markers, and is mounted on a Verve Classic Label Die and Spellbinders Scallop Oval. The sentiment is from Verve Bountiful Harvest on a Verve Embossed Oval Die. The paper is retired Stampin' Up!.

Bling It On~

Holy craftiness Batman, have I got something special to share with you today! It's the end of the month which means it's time for another My Favorite Things guest designer contest. The theme this month is "Bling it on!". The wheels in my head started turning. There are so many awesome forms of bling out there, where would I begin??? My biggest challenge was not to go overboard. :)

I decided to go with MFT Wednesday Stamp Club #43.

The long skinny panel was made for à la modes! I inked up Time to Celebrate and colored her in with my Copics. I paper pieced the bottom layers of the cake and slathered on the Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I only wish you could get the full affect of the sparkly goodness from the picture! I had a hard time deciding on the pattern paper but, in the end I went with My Minds Eye (shocker, I know! ;) ). My Janome and I are not speaking again so I couldn't stitch like I wanted to. Next best thing was to paper pierce around the edges. I added the Faux Crochet Border strip under the SU! Organdy ribbon (even it has a blingy quality!). What card would be complete without some BLING on the inside too? I kept the inner design pretty basic. Now that I look at it I think it could make a nice, simple card front. :) Check out the Faux Crochet Die-namics, I double it up to give it a matted look. I will definitely be doing it again! The sentiment is mounted on a scallop circle (Spellbinders) and circled with BLING, which is layered on top of the smallest Decorative Doily Duo Die-namic. That does it for me. I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the stream for a little added pizazz! I think these little penguin dudes are adorable! I cut the sentiment out with a Verve Cut Above die (Classy Label) and I inked the edges.

I have a true crafting confession for you. I have been stalking Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. Well just the blog really. I have been drooling over the stamps for awhile now. A few days ago I realized that they were having a Guest Design team contest. I decided that it was time to take the Kraftin' Kimmie plunge!!! I am so glad that I did!

This cutie pie is Abigail Apple. I must admit that It took me over an hour to decide on which Kraftin' Kimmie stamps to order. I kept coming back to this little lady. She is adorable!!! I colored her in with my Copics and fussy cut her out.

The card is a 5.5" x 5.5" SU! Real Red cardstock base with layers of SU! designer series paper (retired). I stitched around most of the layers. I managed to get my Janome to cooperate long enough to finish the job! There was much holding my breath and talking nicely to Janome. :) The dies are My Favorite Things Open Scallop Border and Fancy Flourish (Cut in half). The scallop oval is (my brand new) Spellbinders. A little Divine Twine and a clear button complete the job. It would be so cool to play along with the Uber talented Kraftin' Kimmie Design team! Either way it was so much fun playing with this new stamp. I will definitely be inking her up again soon! Thanks for stopping by!

It's Hambo Hoedown time again! This week we have a super fun challenge. Use newspaper on your project. I decided to step out of my card making zone and make a tag for a little candy bag. Pretty perfect for the upcoming Halloween Holiday, I think!

I stamped Cat Witch on White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her in with Copics. Her hat is paper pieced. The sentiment is Spooky Day. The tag is a combination of Dies from Verve and My Favorite Things. The flowers are Prima, I think they finish the tag off nicely! Sometimes I get the most clever plans for my cards. It's like lightning and everything thing just seems to come together in a brilliant compilation. Well this lovely little card started out that way but, sadly it didn't quite reach my full vision. Oh, well!

What we have here is a card based on The Cat's Pajamas TCP Tuesday #180 challenge, which was a sketch.

Mr. Bear is colored with Copics and the DP is We R Memory Keepers Autumn Splendor. I added a touch of faux stitching around the card with my Uni-ball Signo white gel pen. Happy Monday morning all! Sorry I didn't post this weekend. Somehow I just didn't get around to it. I did however manage to create some crafty goodness. Unfortunately, I can't share it just now. BOO! A wee bit behind this morning! I have last weeks Pixie Dust Studio Challenge to share. It was a fantastic color challenge. I finished it last night but, couldn't get a picture until this morning. I thought I had enough time to get it entered but, alas it looks like this weeks challenge has already gone live. BOO! Oh, well! I'm sharing it anyway! :)

I colored in this adorable Pixie with Copics. The DP is Fancy Pants Designs Summers End. I think it works perfectly with the color scheme for a harvest card.

Hey there. I have a small stack of card to share that I have yet to blog. Life somehow gets the better of me. Alas, tonight I have the October Verve Get Your Diva on challenge.

The challenge was to create a handmade embellishment for your card. I have a ton of fun Halloween fabric hanging around so I cut some strips and started playing around. I settled on a pleated bloom. I also rolled a seam binding rose. I used my new (to me) Verve Bountiful Harvest stamp set. I colored the adorable pumpkins in with my Copic markers. I gotta tell ya, I just adore pumpkins! Real ones, stamped ones, fake ones, pies. LOL!

I finished off the inside to match the front. I mostly used scraps and repeated the same elements. The card front is inspired by the Viva La Verve October week 3 sketch.

Free Time~

It's a rare night that I find myself with time to stamp, and to be honest I am usually too tired. A few nights ago I found myself in a crafty mood. I didn't have any challenges to complete or DT assignments. This rare jewel of crafting was just for me!!! I grabbed this super cute Pure Innocence and went for a scrappy layered look. She is colored in with Copics and I paper pieced her dress.

I grabbed scraps from the scrap basket on my desk and ripped a page out of my "for crafting" book. I inked up the layers, added a few MFT Die-namics and 4 square Ice brad for bling! Student of the Week~

My Kindergartner came home super excited on Monday. He had been named Student of the Week! This is apparently a much sought after title amongst his class mates. I was so proud of him that I knew I wanted to make him a little something special. I thought what better then a pan of his favorite brownies and a homemade book mark. How perfect for me that the challenge this week at Tiddly Inks is "Boys will be boys."!

Just the theme that I needed and lucky for me they have absolutely adorable boy digis too! FABULOUS!!! I kept the design pretty basic by following this weeks Deconstruction Sketch.

Our school boy is colored in with Copic Markers and then I inked the edges of the cardstock with Close to Cocoa ink. The pattern paper is My Minds Eye, Away We Go collection. I LOVE their paper! For the fancy border I used The Cat's Pajamas Apron Border Die. I cut it out three times and layered the negative and positive pieces. I was really pleased with the way that it turned out. Lastly, I added a strip of SU! Dusty Durango ribbon and three paper buttons. All the bling and none of the bulk. I felt that it was important to keep it as flat as possible, since it is after all a bookmark! I am going to run it through the Xyron to laminate it. That's all for today. This week over at Pixie Dust Studio the challenge was to create anything but a card. I have to admit that lately that really is a challenge for me. I decided to create a fun little refrigerator magnet.

Sorry for the glare. After I colored my Pixie in with Copic Markers (which I LOVED doing), I arranged her on my cardstock base. Basically it was like creating a card front. I was mindful to use only flat embellishments. Just before I laminated it with my Xyron I added two sticky backed magnet strips to it.

Easy Peasy! I give you a simple fridge magnet! Sorry I haven't included more detail. My 5 month old isn't sleeping much at night and therefore neither am I. I am seriously drained. Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween is just around the corner and although I don't like the cold I have to admit that this is my favorite time of the year! I love Halloween (not the yucky side of it). Pumpkins, costumes, and all of the festivities! Hurrah! Today I have My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Club #40. I don't think I have missed a week since I stumbled upon them.

Yes, I did use Pure Innocence Little Witch again this week. Are you getting sick of her? I hope not because, I think she is adorable! I only have a few more weeks that she is seasonally appropriate. Then it's to the back of the stamp basket for her for another year. Boo! I might be able to have her lose the broom and be a pilgrim. :) I had to add a few pumpkins (Verve) to the mix.

As you can tell I stuck to the sketch. It's so basic, which I love! :)

Hello there! I have a challenge combination to share with you. It's not even Monday yet or the end of the month but I have a TCP Tuesday/Viva La Verve card to share! Yahoo! I am on it this week! :) I was feeling a little bit crafty last night so after I finally managed to wrangle my tribe into something resembling slumber I was free to stamp. Seeing as how I was awake and clearly ignoring the mountain of laundry waiting to be folded, that only left one option. To get crafty! :)

The Cat's Pajamas challenge is to Hype the Type, meaning that the type has to be the focal point of the design. I don't know about you but, I love type. However, ever since I started my Copic ~~addiction~~ Collection, I just want to color images. This was a breath of fresh air! I decided to combine challenges by using the Viva La Verve October Week 1 sketch.

I have a challenge trifecta to share with you today. All of these challenges came together to create this card.~

First up is my Wednesday favorite Pixie Dust Studio Challenge. I look forward every week to playing along with the Pixies don't ya know! The challenge this week was to create a project based on a movie or book. I chose Laurel Wings (Pixie) to represent the book Wings. I read it last month along with the Pixie Book Club. It was a pretty good book and well I just love fairies! I hope there will be a sequel! Anyway, back to the card. I used this Mojo Monday sketch.

I also stuck (sort of) to the SCS CC343 More Soft Tango (More Mustard, Soft Suede, & Tangerine Tango). This was a challenge for me because, I am not much a person for orange. And there you have it. Three challenges and one card. Actually there was a forth challenge Emerald Faeries #10 Punches/Dies. I used 4 dies here, 3 Nesties and one The Cat's Pajamas Cut Above Die Apron Border. It's time to Get Sketchy again with MFT. The sketch for this week was a lot of fun to play along with.

Since I already had a ton of MFT products on my desk I decided to just go with it and use what was there.

I used almost all of the same elements as the card I made for the MFT Oct Guest Designer contest but, I did change it up a bit. I chose different DP for her paper pieced dress and hat. You will notice that she is very retro looking. I am referring to her as Disco Witch. :) I made her a blonde because, they apparently have more fun. HA! I also "borrowed" the belt on her hat and added it to her dress. Yes, she is a hip little witch!

I LOVE the candy corn ribbon. I picked it up at Joann's on my last trip. You can't tell here but, it's sparkly. I swoon! :) Everything else is pretty straight forward. Supplies are listed below. Thanks so much for stopping by! TTFN~

Perfect Package~

It's time for another My Favorite Things Guest Designer contest. The theme for October is "Perfect Package". I had to think about this theme for a few days. Then it hit me. Well it was pretty obvious really! HALLOWEEN! It's seasonally appropriate, one of My Favorite holidays, and I just got the new Pure Innocence Little Witch from the last MFT release! KISMET! So here is my perfect package~ Halloween style...

What we have here is a card, goody bag with gift tag topper, candle (for decoration only, not to be lit), decorative jar of candy corns, and a candy bucket. I used a lot of the same elements to help tie all of the items together. Cute little witch PI is paper pieced and colored with Copic Markers. I think the thing I love the most about this set is that just by changing a few basic elements it would be perfect for any gift giving occasion (Christmas, baby shower, Valentines Day, Mother's Day etc...).

The Candle and Goody Bag have basically the same tag, give or take a few elements. I hand rolled the black seam binding roses. The "Boo" banner on the card and banner around the candy corn jar is fabric that I ran through the Big Shot with my MFT Pennant Die-namic. Once I had punched out a whole bunch I threaded them with a needle and voilà instant mini banner! :) I have to admit discovering this made me ridiculously happy! LOL! The candy bucket is from Target Dollar Spot. I wrapped it in the same fabric (that I got at Joanns) and attached my ribbon combo and layered tag.

Here's a close up of the goody bag. The topper is a Fabric Top Note Die and then my layered tag. A bit of SU! and Offray ribbon complete the look and keep the cello bag closed and the goodies inside! :)

The card features a "BOO" banner. The letters are old Creative Memories letter stickers but, any small white letters would do! Since my Janome and I are still not speaking I faux stitched around my card with my Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen. The candle is pretty basic. I wrapped it with fabric and attached my layered tag. This is definitely for decoration only. No fire please! ;) That's it in a nut shell. I had a lot of fun creating this ensemble. If you have any questions please let me know in the comments. I can't begin to express how much I LOVE this color combo! It's seriously yummy! I used a sketch from Card Positioning Systems to create my card.

Today I am bidding farwell to my time as the Pink Torchbearer for Amber Ink! It has been an amazing month and I have had so much fun representing the pink team, hanging out in the (th)ink tank with the other awesome September torchbearers!

It's been a joy and a pleasure working with Amber and Pam! They are brilliant, witty, generous, and just plain FABULOUS! :) Seriously, I would hid my torch and carry on if I wasn't passing it to such a mega talented chick. Drum roll please....... Carrying the Amber Ink torch for team pink is none other then the crafty genius Sarah Gough of THinkING STAMPS! I have been a big fan of her work for a long time and I have to admit that I almost fell out of my chair when she agreed to catch the torch from me! I can't wait to see what she creates for us in October. I know that we are all in for a real treat! Run Sarah Run, may your torch burn brightly! :)

Case-a-Diva~

It's Diva Dare time again with Verve. This time around the dare is to Case-A-Diva! I had such a hard time choosing a card to CASE. So many talented Divas, so little time to stamp! Finally I settled on the mega talented Amy Sheffer. Be sure to hop over to her blog and check out the card I CASE'd. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time when you do. You are going to spend hours drooling over all of her crazy incredible creations! :)
Here is what I created~

This lovely does double duty. It's also based on Viva La Verve Sept. Week 3.

Now, that is a sketch! So many elements. I kept it pretty simple. I chose the same stamp set (Verve Better with You) as Amy did. I looked forever to find yellow flowered DP in my stash but, alas I don't own any (GASP) I ended up going with MME and a Basic Grey scrap! I was going to machine stitch but, then my Janome Sew Mini decided that it hates me. I grabbed my Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker and faux stitched the layers instead. I sponged my Sizzix Top Note Die and cut it with my MFT Bracket Border Die-namic. I will definitely be using that idea again. The large scallop is my MFT Doily Duo Die-namic and the small scallop is my Scallop Circle nestie. A little Divine Twine, A few craft store buttons, SU! ribbon, and Rhinestone gems finish the job. I have to admit I don't think I ever would have created this card with out the inspiration pieces but, I LOVE the way that it turned out! Thanks for stopping by!

This month has flown by in a blur! I can't believe that I am nearing the end of my time as the Amber Ink Pink Torchbearer (sobbing). Tomorrow I will reveal the ultra amazing lady who will be catching the torch, it'll knock your socks off! For today let's take a look at all of the amazing things I was able to create with Amber Ink's absolutely incredible digi stamps and iPaper.

Round and Round with Pixie~

I have a case of the sleepies today! I could go for a nap in a major way, now if only I could convince the 4 year old and the 4 month old. HA! It's Wednesday which means that I have a Pixie Dust Studio challenge to share with you! This week the challenge is "Round and round". That's right create a card with circles.

My apologies for the horrible photo. Anyway, I started with my largest Scallop Circle Spellbinder and went from there. The DP is Basic Grey and MME Lime Twist. The open scallop circles are MFT Doily Due Die-namics. I colored the lovely Laurel Wings with Copics and added Stickles to her wings. Amber Ink Sets My Heart A Flutter~

Alas, all good things must come to and end, and my time as an Amber Ink torch bearer is quickly coming to a close. Boo Hoo! Before the month is over I have one last card to share with you featuring a fantastic Amber Ink image and drool worthy iPaper. Go ahead, drool! It's iPaper, you can always print more! ;)

The layout of this dynamic little card is based on The Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #136. This sketch is seriously adorable and makes me want to go back for a second helping!

The details for this card are pretty straight forward. I used a heaping spoonful of iPapers, a pinch of Copic Markers, and a dash of Stickles. I stirred them together with my Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangle Nestie and added a touch of SU! white organdy ribbon and topped it with a dallop of a seam binding rose. Roses and Fabric~

It was a super busy weekend around here but, I still managed to get a little bit crafty! I have two awesome challenges that I followed the create this cute little card. First, the Ribbon Carousel Challenge #21 "Fabric Of Our Lives". In other words get out your fabric. I really loved this challenge but, have to admit that I was so overwhelmed with ideas that I sort of confused myself. In the end I was sleepy when I got crafty and went with something pretty simple. Not that simple is a bad thing! ;) The second challenge is TCP Tuesday and we are making seam binding roses.

This was by first adventure in working with seam binding but, I can tell you that it won't be my last! :) The fabric and seam binding are from Joanns. The fancy Flourish is a MFT Die-namic. The bear and sentiment are The Cat's Pajamas. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Finally it's Friday! It's been one of those weeks. I have two sick kiddos and that is just never good. Amazingly enough I did manage to stamp a wee bit yesterday during nap time. Who needs clean laundry anyway? ;)

What we have here is an adorable Hambo Stamps image. I colored her in with Copics (of course) and cut her out. I love the way her hair turned out. It looks liquidy like poison. The DP is Doodlebug Designs & SU! Halloween collections. The sentiment is MFT from a Pure Innocence set as is the Open Scallop Border Die-namic. I punched the sentiment out with the SU! Modern label punch and finished it off with a little Elegant Eggplant ribbon. Sweet and simple.

I love it when Wednesday rolls around and I knock all of my errands out early and have time to sit down and get crafty! I combined two challenges to bring you this little card today. First up Mojo Monday sketch 207.

Isn't she a beauty? I thought so. I just love sketches. This one is definitely going in my sketch book! The second challenge that I gained inspiration from was Pixie Dust Studio. The challenge this week is "recycling is good".

I grabbed a Pixie from my printed Pixie stash (yes, I have a printed Pixie stash). Next I went in search of my something recycled. What I settled on was a postcard advertisement for birth announcements (the green dotted panel). It worked out perfectly and you can't even tell that it was headed to the recycling bin! I tilted the panels just right so that you can't see any of the text! SWEET! I picked out some DP from my scrap basket (might as well continue with the reduce and reuse theme!). I colored sweet Pixie in with Copics. Added a generous amount of sponging with Close to Cocoa ink on EVERY panel and piece. Yes, I am addicted to my INK! :) I ran my ribbon through the sewing machine. Lastly I added three rhinestone flowers. My card was missing something so after much rummaging I stumbled upon this long forgotten sticker sheet from Scenic Route. There shining like a beacon was BLISS! I snatched it up and stuck it on my card and the rest is history.

Before I forget, I jotted down the Copic colors for you. There is just one adjustment. The shoe color is actually the hair color and not the dress color as stated. Thanks so much for stopping by. TTFN~

Rainy Days and Mondays~

Today's post is brought to us by the letter "C", as in caffeination. Yes, I need copious amounts of it today to stay awake. We had a bad night at Casa del Herbert. Alas, even that will not keep me from sharing the Amber Ink project that I created for this week.

I am not sure where Amber girl is strolling off to but, I do know that not even the rain will stop her from enjoying her day. In fact I think she is in such a lovely mood that she is looking forward to the rain. As you may have guessed I colored her in with Copics and cut her out. She is sitting upon layers of SU! cardstock and gorgeous iPaper. A little machine stitching, a vintage button, and two felt clouds complete the ensemble. I can't believe that the month is more then half over. Let's see how many more Amber Ink projects I can share before it's over. I have had so much fun as the Pink Torchbearer. If I hid my torch in the closet do you think they would still make me pass it on? LOL! Be back later with more crafty goodness.

Super quick post today. Here's my card for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club challenge. I just love working with these sketches. If you haven't given them a try you really should! :)

It's possibly a little sad how much new DP and stamps makes me. Like a kid in a candy store!

I picked up a pad of the Authentique Spendid paper this weekend. It is so yummy! I reached for my never before inked À la Mode and got crafty. A little bit of this and a little dash of that and it came together pretty quickly. I paper pieced the cake and frosted it with dazzling diamonds glitter. ;) Some machine stitching, Divine Twine, Felt Flowers, and a button from my stash finished the job. There is a MFT Open Scallop Border Die-namic there but, it kind of got buried. Oh, and the sentiment is on a Bracket Tab Die-Namic. Thanks so much for stopping by. TTFN~

Autumn~

Can you feel it? The air is getting cooler, the days are getting shorter, the trees are starting to change color. Autumn is in the air. Technically it's still Summer but, it doesn't look like we will be enjoying an Indian Summer here. Nope, fall has arrived. I really enjoyed the (limited) warm weather this Summer but, Fall owns my heart. Have you seen the current The Cat's Pajamas challenge? It's this totally gorgeous photo collage.

It makes me want a warm blanket, hot beverage, and a good book. Instead I crafted this lovely little card.

Yeah, there is a ton going on here. I don't even want to admit how much hand cutting this involved. LOL! The designer paper is We R Memory Keepers and the layers of cardstock are SU!. There are quite a few stamp sets here. The first is The Cat's Pajamas Wheel Love. I just love this cute little bunny riding around on a crisp fall day on his bike. The rest of the stamps are SU! (Just Perfect Alphabet, Throughly Thankful, & Season of Friendship.). I used Copics to color the bunny and SU! Stampin' Write Markers for the pumpkins. The Banner is cut from the MFT Die-namic Mini Pennant. I also used the MFT Open Scallop Border & Flat Bottom Cloud Die-Namics. I tell ya this stuff is just too much fun to work with! I also added an MFT Doily Duo Die-namic and a little bling for pizazz! Sheer organdy ribbon completes this paper crafting confection. Yummo! Happy Monday Y'all! A new week means a new Elizabeth Mae's challenge. This week we are challenging you to get HAPPY.

I decided to work with the Polka Dot dress form. I think this is my favorite Elizabeth Mae's digi! I paired it with this retired SU! set for my sentiment and the flower swirl. I kept the card really simple because, I thought that it just worked! :) I colored the Dress Form with Copics (C2,C5, E53, R81, R85). I used the gorgeous My Minds Eye DP and paired it with silver package ribbon. I wish I knew where this fabulous ribbon came from but, alas I do not. I have been ~~hoarding~~ saving the cream of the crop of package toppers and ribbon for far too long. It's only recently that I have been cracking into that ~~stash~~ collection and using them on cards. Anywho, I drew a box around my digi and sentiment with a black Copic Multi liner for added flair. Sunday at last! I just want this lazy day to last F O R E V E R... Since I know that it won't. I have a leisurely card to share with you instead.

Created for the Verve September Get Your Diva On challenge. The theme was to create a monochromatic card. As you can see I went with shades of brown. I used MME Lost and Found DP and my new Verve stamps (Better With You). There is a lot of inking, sponging, and distressing going on. I cut a small MFT Open Scallop Doily Duo from Very Vanilla Cardstock and layered a MFT Fancy Flourish in Chocolate chip over it. Then I tea stained the SU! Pretties Bloom to give it a more aged look and mounted it behind my layered Verve Loopy Blooms Cut Above Dies. The tag is punched from SU! Large and Small Tag Punches and layered on the inside of a coffee sleeve that I trimmed to look like a tag. I finished my tag off with a snippet of lace from my local fabric store. The large striped ribbon is retired from SU! and it's layered with Divine Twine. I love all of the texture that is going on here! This little lovely is also based on the September Verve Week 2 Viva La Verve Sketch.

I just love it when a plan comes together. Like the two challenges that were the main inspiration for the card I have to share with you today. First up is the fantastic Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #134. I just had to give this fabulous sketch a try. It's always nice to have a jumping off point.

The theme of my card is courtesy of the current Pixie Dust Studio Challenge- "It's a Boy or It's a Girl!

I dug around in my Pixie stash and pulled out Zeeba the Zebra. He is just such a super sweet little guy. I LOVE putting him on cards. How could you not love that little face? I decided to mix things up a little bit and chose colors that were slightly off of the normal baby blue. I used MME DP and SU! cardstock. Zeeba is colored in with Copics and framed inside a scalloped square nestie. Some SU! ribbon, a MFT Open Scallop Border and a few buttons with Divine Twine centers finish the job.

A quick peek at the inside of the card shows that I kept it nice and simple. The sentiment is from a retired SU! stamp set. Thanks so much for stopping by and for leaving some love! Hugs~

Wanna see what I worked on today? I am running a little behind this week so I only managed to get to last weeks My Favorite Things Wednesday stamp club the day before it's due. Yikes! It's my favorite challenge and I would sure hate to miss out on it. Lucky for me my MFT order came in the mail yesterday so I had a few new goodies to play with. Yay, for happy mail! :) The sketch this time around was pretty straight forward. Just how I like it. LOL.

Even though I didn't have time until today to actually stamp I did have plenty of time to think about what I wanted my card to look like.

I knew I wanted to ink up this brand spankin' new Pure Innocence. She is just the cutest little witch! I colored her in with Copics. All of the DP is really ancient Doodlebug designs except the orange dot which is SU!. The ribbon is also SU!. I just love purple, black, and lime green for Halloween. It really is my favorite time of the year. There was so much more I could have done with it but, I ran out of time. Darn! There's always next time. That about does it for me. TCP Tues 175

TCP Tuesday is one of the challenges that I look forward to each week. I love that the style of challenge changes from week to week. It really keeps me on my toes and pushes my creative boundaries. Last weeks challenge was this ☟ sketch.

Do you see the flags? They sent my creative wheels into overdrive. What could I possibly use for that portion of the sketch that would work with the Cat's Pajama's stamps I had to work with? In the end I got too busy to craft and had to throw a card together quickly.

I had such high hopes for this card and in the end I just couldn't get it to look like the vision in my head. I really thought the paper pieced ears would look cuter then they do. Oh, well! This is the Kick Some Grass set. I had to have this uber cute set when I saw it. It's just so darned cute! :) I colored PJ in with copics. The DP is Basic Grey, CS is SU! as is the Organdy Ribbon. I free handed the felt clouds and added a dusting of dazzling diamonds glitter for panache. That about did it!

One more thing before I go. I was blog surfing yesterday and wandered over to the Verve blog and what should I see?

I Won the last Diva Dare "Sending Some Sunshine"! I was so surprised when I saw it and of course elated! Definitely an awesome surprise! Ok, I am out. Have a good day! TTFn~

Batta Boom, Batta Bling~

Good Morning stampers. I am enjoying a cup of coffee and a delicious slice of sour dough toast as I type this post. It has been a toast kind of morning. You know, all warm, crunchy, and comforting. I have a case of the Monday's. However, I am sure you didn't stop by to hear about that.... Here's the second card I created for the MFT Sept. Guest Designer challenge that the oh so talented Linda McClain won. Click on the link the check out her entry and you will see why. Seriously gorgeous ripping and rolling! I swoon! :) Here is my card.

Sweet little P.I. is offering up a lovely bunch of flowers and wishing a great day to someone she loves. I really dig this color palette and DP from MME Stella Rose. The random bling is courtesy of a colorbok rhinestone "flower" which completely lost it's shape once removed from the backing film. After many not so nice words and some snips here and there I give you Random Bling. No it did not turn out as I had planned but, I went with it anyway. I just wanted to finish my card and get it submitted. Lots of sponging and ripping and rolling. That about does it for now. Thanks for stopping by. TTFN~

No Patterned Paper~

Is it really Monday again? This weekend seemed to fly by. No worries kids! Monday means a new Elizabeth Mae's Challenge! This week the challenge is to create a card without using Patterned Paper. WHAT??? I know, I was a little nervous at first myself. Never fear, I challenged myself and you can too. It's fun and not as hard as I thought!

True Crafting Confession time. Creating a card without DP was stepping way out of my comfort zone. I started with a SU! Pumpkin Pie CS Base and added a layer of Apricot Appeal (which I had ran through the Big Shot on a texture plate). Then I colored the lovely Pixie Dust Fairy in with Copics and added some BLING. I sponged the edges for added depth. That's where things started to get a little pear shared. I kept switching different cardstock pieces back and forth. At one point I thought the card was done. After a few hours I realized that It just wasn't right so I took it apart down to the textured layer. It was then that things started to fall into place. The subtle blue & green layers and the sponged die cut butterfly wrapped in Divine Twine. And there you have it, No Patterned paper. I do hope you will play along this week at Elizabeth Mae's. Verve Aug Wk 3~

Top of the Mornin' to ya. Grab yourself a cup of coffee or tea and settle in for another fun project. Today I have Viva La Verve Aug. Week 3 to share with you. This sketch is super fun and scrappy. I have to admit I was a tad bit intimidated at first but, then I broke it down layer by layer.

This is what I came up with. I used MME DP and Verve stamps. There are a lot of patterns going on here but, I think it works. I started with a square kraft cardstock base and started layering. After Kraft came Night of Navy and then my first DP. I cut a curvy circle from Kiwi Kiss CS with my Creative Memories cutter (totally old school). The border strip is trimmed with the negative image from my MFT Solid Bracket Border Strip Die-Namic, I added a crisscross stitch to each end for added dimension.

I continued to layer my DP in various shapes. The flower is a Verve Cut Above Die (Loopy Bloom). I added some twine to my button for texture, and three Making Memories silver brads. The Scallop Rectangle is also a Verve Cut Above Die. This super cute sentiment is Verve Making a Statement. I inked the edges here and there. That's about it. Have a fabulous day! TTFN~

Verve'n It Up~

Finally we've made it to Friday! It has been a crazy busy week, and because of the holiday my days are all thrown out of wack. It's really driving me nuts! :) Ok, let's get to the craftiness. Today, I have a card for you based on the August Week 2 Viva La Verve Sketch. Those super talented ladies at Verve sure know how to keep us lucky crafters inspired! Check out this sketch.

I decided to keep it super simple. Look Ma, no Copics! ;) I whipped out my new (to me) Basic Grey and got to stampin'. I used Verve stamps and Cut Above Dies. The border is MFT. I took two border strips and mirrored them, I added dots with my Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen. I think it looks pretty nifty. The ribbon is SU! Dusty Durango. I just love the name. This could work as a MAN card, I think. I stamped the sentiment on the Curvy Bookplate and matted it with two more Curvy Bookplates in Dusty Durango. Three little metal brads finish it off. Super simple and I think this could work for lots of occasions just by changing the sentiment.

Set My Heart A Flutter~

Good Morning all. Thanks so much for stopping by. Today I have another card featuring the brilliant digi's and iPaper from Amberink. If you haven't checked out their stuff you really should go window shopping. :)

This lovely little card is about as basic as it gets but, I just felt that the Amberink products were so adorable they didn't need more. Plus, sometimes you just want to make a nice, easy card. This baby did the trick. I started by punching out scallop squares of SU! cardstock that matched my iPaper. Then I cut the sentiment out with my CM oval cutter. I just adore that sentiment. It's just so sweet! I colored it in with Copics and added 3 little silver Making Memories brads just because I could. I finshed my card off with a sheer brown length of ribbon from Offray. Hey there! Wipe your feet and have a seat! Just kidding! :) Let's get to this bit of craftiness. I realized this evening that I have several cards that I have created recently that I have yet to share here. This one was for the My Favorite Things September Design Team Contest. The theme was "Rip & Roll".

Not to leave you in suspense and you may already know, I didn't in fact win. Next month, I tell myself. Want to know a secret? I mean after all we are connected by this crafty blogging network and obsession to create. Right? What's that you say? You only stumbled upon my blog by accident? Well, I am going to tell you anyway. I want to be a guest designer for MFT so badly! I mean really, really badly!!! I am sure the other participants wanted it badly as well but, I am not them. :) Oh well! Next month perhaps...

As you can see I ripped and rolled and colored and stitched, and paper pieced. I used Pure Innocence. She is adorable! This was my first time rolling a paper flower. Happy Wednesday. Can't believe that the week is half over already. It's been a crazy busy time around here. My oldest started school yesterday and #2 starts today. Things will be so much quieter around here during the day with only half of the kids. Unfortunately, both of my "helpers" are the ones gone. It's going to be an adventure for all of us. LOL! Who knows it just might translate into some stamping time for MOM. We shall see. Yesterday, I managed to finally get to this weeks Pixie Dust Challenge #90. "School is Cool" is the theme, which was kinda perfect. I needed to make a card for each of the boy's teachers. Here's what I came up with.

As you may notice this is Miss Pearl of Wisdom. Yes, I did use her last week for my bookmark. She is just so darned cute! I needed to make two cards so I kept the design fairly simple. I colored Pearl in with Copics and cut her out.

I chose similar pieces of Basic Grey paper for the bottom layer. From there I was able to use scraps and keep everything else the same. A Verve Cut Above Die Scallop Rectangle frame "frames" Pearl. A bit of Divine Twine and a lovely yellow button finish the job.

The inside is layered scraps. I cut a notch out of the Night of Navy cardstock with my 1" circle punch. I only took a pic of one because, they are pretty much the same. By this point in my card making process the baby had woken up from her nap. Another reason why I have to remember to KEEP IT SIMPLE. LOL! I tucked a $5.00 Starbucks gift card into each card. Just a little "thank you", getting to know you gift. The sentiment is from a MFT Pure Innocence set. I think they turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hey all. Quick post for you. I decided to give the All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday challenge a go. This week it was an inspiration challenge.

I kept my card super simple. Really I just wanted to make something and am a little short on time today.

I stamped PI on 120lb cardstock and cut her out with a rectangle scallop Nestie. I decided to sponge around her and ink the edges instead of coloring her in. I did color her flowers with Copics and paper pieced her dress. The DP is MME and cardstock is SU!. The ribbon and felt flowers are also SU!. Thanks for stopping by. Have a fabulous day!

Wing It~

Hey there my fellow stampers. Today I thought I would share with you my entry into last weeks TCP Tuesday #174. The theme was to "Wing It" meaning stamps with wings. Unfortunately, my Cat's Pajamas stamp collection is still pretty small (Must do something about that ;)) so this was the only one that featured a "winged" creature. It's totally cute so it's all good in my book!

I kept it super simple. The holiday, back to school, work commitments and my four little monkeys are really cutting into my stamping time. Dang it! It was kind of refreshing to go back to basics. LOL! The DP is new (to me) MME Vanity Fair. I LOVE the butterfly paper so much, I may have to snag a few sheets in 12"x12" versus the 6"x6" pads I normally purchase. Back to the card. I colored Mr. Bunny with Copics and added some Crystal Effects to his nose. I also added a bit of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the butterfly trail for added effect. I think it turned out really cute. MFT Solid Bracket Border makes for some fancy grass (Note to self~ Buy Grass Die-Namic). A few buttons and some SU! ribbon and there you have it. Thanks for stopping by! TTFN~

Bling It Up~

Hey all. It's Monday again which can only mean a brand new Elizabeth Mae's challenge! This week we are Blinging It Up! Add your glitter, your pearls, your rhinestones. Anything that gives your project that added BLING! I went with a super simple mini card.

I love to have these super sweet 3"x3" cards on hand. They are so perfect to just grab and use for any occasion. This is Princess Myai. I colored her with Copics and added rhinestone to her crown and dazzling diamonds glitter to her dress. I also added three teeny rhinestones to the bottom of the card but, am now realizing they get lost in this not so great pic. Opps! :) The DP is MME Stella Rose and cardstock is SU!. White sheer ribbon is Offray. Stop by Elizabeth Mae's today because, Digi's are buy one, get one for the holiday! That is one sweet deal! Thanks for stopping by! TTFN!

Got Felt?~

I can't believe I am just now getting around to sharing this lovely. I created this a couple of weeks back for a TCP Tuesday supply challenge. The theme was using felt. I haven't used much felt in my projects but, I think I might now. It was a lot of fun thinking of different ways to incorporate it into my card. The wheels in my head started spinning away. Seriously, smoke was practically pouring out of my ears. ;)

Anywho, what we have here is the Cat's Pajamas Bearing Flowers. That bear is just too darned cute! My 5 year old is in love with him! :) As soon as I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink I reached for my Copics. I had a lot of fun coloring him in. I LOVE the way that the sunflower turned out. I added Crystal Effects to the center of the flower and the bear's eyes and nose. It adds a little extra something! The Basic Grey DP is so much fun, I think it's just perfect for this card. I added a little bit of Linen thread for added texture. Now to the star of the show, the felt! I ran the felt on my MFT Solid Bracket Border Die-namic through the bigshot and layered the felt cuts. I also added leaves to the sunflower. The leaves are actually from the SU! Birds and Blooms sizzlets. They are bird wings but, are shaped just like the leaves. Brilliant!!! :) I finished the card off with my sentiment stamped on a MFT Bracket Tab Die-namic and added a little Divine Twine tied in a sweet little bow. Sorry that took so long to explain. Even though it was August when I made this lovely little card featuring Amber Ink's brilliant stamps and ipaper I was inspired. Why you ask? Well, because it was grey and gloomy outside. That really didn't seem to dampen the spirits of this Amber Girl. She knows that she looks super smart in her yellow rubba boots. She is singin' in the rain. :)

I colored her in with Copics (today she felt like a brunette ;) ), including the puddle. Said puddle also got a nice coating of Crystal effects for gloss and effect. Amber Girl is popping off of the card courtesy of dimensionals. The corners of this super fun ipaper were punched with my SU! Ticket Corner Punch, making it fun and fancy. I added a double scallop circle cut from my nesties. The sassy little sentiment is layered on a MFT Bracket Tab Die-namic. Thanks so much for stopping by. Diva Dare~

It's almost the end of the month which can only mean one thing. I am scrambling trying to get cards made for each of the Viva La Verve sketches. I'm not really sure why I leave them to the last minute. I love playing and I think the sketches are brilliant.

Here's my card for the week 5 sketch. I used most of the supplies that were sitting on my desk. Yeah, they are the leftovers from the MFTWSC card that I shared in the previous post.

I was so happy to finally be able to break out the stamps (Making a Statement) and Cut Above dies (Rounded Scallop Frame, Loopy Blooms) that I got from the new release. I just love how these pieces coordinate! It makes throwing a card together so easy.

I also made this with the current DIVA DARE in mind. This month the challenge is Sending Some Sunshine. The dare is to make an uplifting card and SEND it to someone! Well I am planning on sending this to my cousin. She is one of my best friends and has been my whole life. We are really more like sisters. Unfortunately, we just don't get to see each other that often. She is going to LOVE that I added a bird to this project since, they really freak me out. :) I used SU! CS and ink along with my Basic Grey DP. Divine Twine that I picked up at MFT. The scallop circle punch is SU! Thanks for stopping by.

Hey there. It's time to get sketchy. That's right, today I have MFTWSC34 to share with you. I just love My Favorite Things products and the sketches are so much fun to play along with!

I must admit that the whole tilted panel freaks me out just a tad. I just want to straighten it out. I guess they don't call it a challenge for nothing. LOL!

I inked up my brand new À La Mode I've Met My Match and colored her in with Copics and paper pieced her dress. I got this lovely little lady a few weeks ago when I won blog candy from Joanne B! It has been a most productive stamping day I must say. I have one more project to share with you. I just couldn't let the week pass me by without playing along with the Pixie Dust Studio challenge. I do look forward to it each week! The images are just so darned cute, and fun to color too! This week we had to create a tag or at least a project that incorporated a tag.

I just LOVE this little Pearl of Wisdom Pixie. The first time I saw her I knew I wanted to create a book mark for my niece Hannah Faith, and that is exactly what we have here. The DP is Basic Grey with machine stitching. My machine and I are not exactly on speaking terms yet but, at least it didn't eat the bookmark/tag. :) The stamp and bracket label are both MFT. Ribbon is SU!, as is the cardstock and ink. I colored Miss Pearl in with Copics. The chipboard letters are Bazzill. I have something really fun to share tomorrow. Stay tuned! :)
